Mission Establish and/or refine ministry opportunities for and with Senior adults that involve them in fellowships ministry and missions through First Baptist Church of Pelham - a lifelong ministry. Introducing our Senior Adult Ministry Our Senior Adults are very special at First Baptist Church of Pelham. Our usual meeting time is, Senior Choir 10:00 a.m., and luncheon on the third Wednesday of each month. We spend an hour or so, doing ministry activities (making items to be shared with the nursing home, and other charitable groups). We share about ministry needs that our members may be able to meet. We spend a time in prayer for those needs and develop ways of involving our members in ministry. We then enjoy a covered dish luncheon consisting of our favorite dishes brought by our members. Our Senior Adults are involved in a definite "Volunteer Ministry" through the overall ministry of FBC Pelham. It is our desire to be a positive force in our church. Our seniors see themselves as leaders in an effort to reach out to our community and within our membership. Our seniors enjoy an opportunity to sing in our Senior Adult Choir ministry. The Seniors travel to interesting places and contribute to the excitement of a Church on Mission for our Master. |
